Day 2 of the 21 Day Fix Plan. I woke up this morning feeling faint and bad tempered! This I know from other detox's I have done in the past was me coming off sugar. I started the day as I have been for the last 11 days with lime and salt and started to feel semi ok - although I quickly felt I needed my morning coffee today. I was also absolutely starving so I had a couple of boiled eggs to tide me over. I then took Walter for a walk and grabbed a skinny latte on the way.
Had some work to get done prior to going in for the show so myself and my fella headed into Muswell Hill to complete our series of tasks for the day.
Ooh exciting news though. I had phoned Sweaty Betty in Muswell Hill last week to see if they would be interested in me holding my Insanity Live classes there and thought I would pop in and meet the manager face to face to see what progress they had made on the decision. I met the lovely Lara and Tina who were very excited about the Insanity classes so I am doing a trial class with them on the 8th June. Watch this space community classes coming to Muswell Hill hopefully : )
Popped back into Nero to have yet another cup of coffee - skinny again though - and tried to get some work done. Time had completely slipped away from me and realised I hadn't eaten properly - again - and I was still to do my workout for today. I headed into work early to try and get that all done.
Today was the Upper Body Fix workout, all I can say is IT WAS HARD! I was using a mix of 4kg and 2kg weights and I know I will definitely feel the work tomorrow. I am so impressed by these 30 min workouts though, you really do work hard and I know I will see results from this in 21 days. Took warm up with extremely fatigued arms and core and then went back to the dressing room to get some food inside me.
All I had left were the dregs of yesterdays dinner so it was a bit of a repeat in terms of food, however there was only half the portion there was yesterday. I was severely under in my amount of containers I was supposed to have consumed today. So far I had had 2 out of 4 of my red protein, 1 out of 2 of my yellow complex carbs, 1 out of 3 of my green vegetables. Epic fail! I managed to get through the show but knew that I was definitely going to need some more food.
Just a little share off topic. We had a little bit of drama with a fly tonight in the dressing room by the way! So Walter was happily sat in the dressing room and we had just been called down to the stage for act 2 when a fly appeared from nowhere and started buzzing around. I have never seen Walter so terrified - he was shaking and crying and would not go back into the room. Luckily our lovely wardrobe and wigs ladies saved the day by calming him down as I was getting a final call down to stage. I think I may need to toughen him up a bit!
I met up with my boyfriend and we travelled home together, both starving. He is doing the 5:2 diet and was on a no food day (why????) and was absolutely struggling. We decided that what we would really like to eat was pancakes with bacon and maybe a little drop of maple syrup, naughty! My friend in the show suggested that we use protein powder with an egg and some milk to make protein pancakes so I gave it a go. They were rubbish, I don't know if I got the proportions wrong but they fell apart. Protein pancakes scrapped and back to the old school version. 1 cup of flour, 1 egg and same amount of milk as flour. There were great. Enough I hear you say - don't mess it up on day two. Urmm, well that would have been the end of the binge but last week I had brought some contraband into the house, Curiously Cinnamon Cereal. It is our vice. We weren't finished with our binge. We both had a bowl each and then to get it out of the house (I am so considerate!) I had a 2nd bowl! Tomorrow can only be better. Good food day, 21 Day Fix workout and I am teaching Reloaded Yoga. Oh and of course just the matter of a warm up and show! It will be fine! Ha! See you tomorrow and night x
